In case you didn’t know, childbirth hurts. Apparently, there are people who’ve never heard this. AND THEY NEED TO BE TOLD. Article here. Edited to add: the article itself makes good points. It’s the title I am reacting to. Then again, it is the Daily Mail, so one should expect sensationalistic headlines. Mothers of many kids are often on the receiving end of baffling and rude questions. I got one this past weekend at a restaurant. But you can’t read about it here. You have to pop over to my other haunt, Mile High Mamas. I wrote about the comment and the fact that families (especially larger families) are often overtly snubbed or scorned at restaurants—even “family” restaurants. Please go say hello. You don’t have to be from Denver. I promise, we won’t check your driver’s license. I picked up the boys from their school this afternoon. As I drove away, I was thinking of the corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot at home. “Just wait ’til we get home, guys! It smells soooo good!” I gushed. Ryley said, “Oh, did you finally buy some Febreze?” |
