happy anniversary...we didn't think you'd make it!Lifenut is one year old today.

I’ve written haiku.

I’ve made handy graphs and charts.

Lists? Oh yeah! Here.

Posts that make me cry, even today.

Posts that make me sigh, even today. Sigh, part deux.

Posts where the evidence is still in my freezer.

Posts I had fun writing. U2!

Photos!

Posts that make me gulp and feel weak-kneed, even now.

Lifenut was originally going to be the spot where I wrote down all the things people were telling me I ought to be writing down. It has grown so much, from a place only my mother seemed to visit to a place a few more people visit.

I have “met” so many extraordinary women and men, fellow bloggers and readers. The greatest opportunity Lifenut has given me is the chance to read the thoughts and feelings of gifted writers. Some bloggers make me think and challenge me, others make me laugh, and many do both. I had no idea when I started this what I was getting into.

Happy blog birthday, Mopsy. You have a gift for keen observation, making connections, turning a phrase. You see the importance of, and the emotional depth attached to, the “small” things. You know a “big” thing when you see it. I’m glad you’re here.

Happy Blog Birthday! Thank you for the things you have shared over the past year: The cute things, the funny things, the painful things, the things that make you go hmmmmm…..

My life has been enriched by a lot of what you’ve had to say, and your perspective on things. We have been blessed by your prayers for us while you were going through a very hard time yourself. Thank you for being the wonderful, kind person that you are, and thank you for sharing yourself with all of us.

I seriously hope Lifenut is around for quite some time!

  • Happy Birthday Lifenut!! When I turn on my computer at work in the morning, this is always one of the first places I come to get my day started. From the day I read your story on iVillage about the trip to Target and the cold coffee, I’ve been a fan of your writing. Keep it coming!

  • Is there any cake?

Happy birthday Lifenut! I look forward to your insights everyday. You are so clever, and I love everything you write. It was fun to look back at some of the posts you linked. Wow, a lot has happened in a year! Thanks for sharing your life with all of us.

  • Happy blog birthday to you!!! I just realized that I have been blogging for a year now too… cool! 🙂

  • Yeah, ditto. I have a list of blogs I visit, as I’m sure everyone does–and always when I get to yours, there’s a little thrill of, “Oh goodie, I get to visit THIS one now!!” I always look forward to it.
