  I drive a 6 speed every day of the week. It’s so much more fun than shifting into driving and stepping on the gas.

  Absolutely! I actually learned to drive on a stick-shift.

  I even insisted that most of my cars BE stick-shift. It wasn’t until recently that I gave in and got an automatic…but it has a trip-tronic kind of thing going on so that I *can* downshift if I need to. (My hubby’s car is a stick-shift.)

  Oddly enough, I do feel like Mario Andretti at times. And, when my hubby gets a little gung-ho about things behind the wheel, I’ll look at him and say, “Hey there, Mario…” Ha!

  I will admit that I haven’t for awhile, but I used to and an fairly confident I could again, with a little practice.

  Nope, never learned how. Seeing how I’m just now conquering some of my childhood fears and shortcomings in my mid-30s, I should learn to drive a stick shift sometime in my 70s…
