Pearls before breakfast

I thought I’d pass along this link to a fascinating article I read yesterday. It’s chronicles an experiment in genius, sophistication, and the impact of our busy lives.

I’d like to think I would have stopped to listen, but I’m not sure.

  • I’m not sure why, maybe because I’m hormonal, but watching the people walk by and the children turn to look brought tears to my eyes. I hope that I would have stopped too.

  • I dunno…it’s kind of a set-up because stations like that are designed for people who ARE GOING SOMEWHERE. I don’t think it’s fair to judge them for not listening simply because they needed to get somewhere in a hurry (not saying you guys are; just the tone of the article). I’m sure many people thought “wow, that’s really beautiful, I wish I had time to stop and listen”, but there’s not really any way to know for certain.

So what’s the moral? To be late to everything because we’re trying to see the beauty all around us? Or to schedule time to take in order to see the beauty all around us? LOL!
