The first time I met Grandma Dorothy, she was standing in the entryway of her Albuquerque home. It was late afternoon, June, and I was engaged to her grandson.
She welcomed me with warmth and we had a lovely few days becoming acquainted. Grandma Dorothy cooked and laughed and I liked her so much. I still do.
Today is her 90th birthday. She lives in Phoenix now, sharing a home with my husband’s aunt Karen. We wish we could have journeyed to celebrate with her today. We are blessed to have spent time with her in July, when we travelled to California for the big wedding.
Grandma Dorothy, we love you.

Thanks for the lovely coments and good wishes. Grandma Dorothy had about 40 friends, family and neighbors drop in to celebrate her 90th birthday and share in her favorite food: dessert! Aunt Karen
