Where’s my oversized cake covered in pastel buttercream roses? Where’s my gold watch? Where’s my champagne toast, my wooden plaque, my stack of congratulatory cards and telegrams?
Where is Willard Scott? Doesn’t he always show pictures of people who have hit 100 when he does the weather on the “Today” show? I watched this morning, waiting to see my picture and hear him say “Here is a lovely little lady! She says her secret to get to 100 is to have bizarre stuff happen on a daily basis!” But no. He snubbed me.
Wait. What’s that? You have to be 100 years old? Oh. I hit 100 today. Not years, but 100 entries on Lifenut. That’s got to be worth something?
100 very interesting, most often amusing, sometimes heart tugging glimpses into your wonderful family escapades. The cartoon “Family Circus” reminds me of you all at times. Thank you for sharing them, even though we talk almost everyday. Willard, get on the ball. Expand your horizons to blog talk.
